Urunga CBD Upgrade EOI

Bellingen Shire Council is currently seeking expressions of interest from local businesses, suppliers, trades, artists, service providers and community groups who may be able to contribute to the Urunga CBD Upgrade.

The project is still in the design stage, and Council is looking to understand what skills, products and services are available locally and across the Mid North Coast. This is not a request for full design concepts or detailed proposals at this stage; it is about registering interest so local capability can be considered as the project progresses.

Bellingen Shire Council is particularly interested in hearing from businesses or suppliers involved in areas such as:

  • civil works and infrastructure
  • landscaping and horticulture
  • street furniture, seating, bins, bike racks, bollards and alfresco elements
  • shade structures and shelters
  • lighting and electrical services
  • signage, wayfinding and interpretive elements
  • murals, public art, sculptures and creative installations
  • cultural and historical interpretation
  • First Nations cultural design and storytelling
  • fabrication, including timber, metal, stone and concrete
  • sustainable or locally manufactured products
  • accessibility and inclusive design

Submissions are encouraged by 29 May 2026, although Council has noted that submissions will continue to be accepted beyond the close date.
