Celebrating community spirit this Christmas season

On Wednesday, December 11th, the Offerton Senior Shindig spread the festive cheer to 80 residents, making it a standout event in the community calendar. Organised by Offerton Activities and supported by the SKylight Community Fund, the event showcased the dedication of local volunteers.

Guests received warm welcomes and raffle tickets before enjoying a hearty meal of beef hotpot and apple pie, prepared by Offerton Community Kitchen. Entertainment followed with a local school choir leading a Christmas sing-along, a lively raffle, and a spirited performance by a Christmas singer that had everyone dancing and singing along.

This celebration united the community and demonstrated the power of collaboration. Thanks to the volunteers and funders who made it all possible. Here’s to continuing the tradition—Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
