NEWS UPDATE

24 March 2023

Publishers note

Okay. It’s now really evident that Michelle’s voyage is coming to an end. I had her on the phone three times today.

In part that has been due to her “lock up” with torrential rain and challenging winds confining her to her cabin. She wants to row but can’t even though the finishing line is so close. In addition to this, she is now starting to get the jitters and the adrenaline is starting to build.

On current predications, she will be home within ten days.

The plan is come to come into Cairns. She will have a vessel meet her about 20 miles out which will guide her through the reef. Once inside, a smaller vessel will guide her to her landing location. It won’t be without its challenges. Her ground team are considering the tides, winds  and currents that may have their say at the last minute.

Nevertheless, she is almost home, and everyone is wishing her a safe passage for these last days. As information comes to hand, we will ensure we publish the updates here at Marine Business News.

In other news, many within our industry will know Nona Pederson and her industry success over many years. Well Nona has now launched YESSSS. A fabulous service that will no doubt help many businesses, large and small to elevate themselves within our industry. Well done Nona.  We wish you the very best for this new venture.

May is not far away and Sanctuary Cove have now launched and started selling their ticket packages. With the show now sold out, ticket buyers can be assured that their visit will be very rewarding.

Also in May, ASMEX have announced two quality speakers for their upcoming conference. If last year’s conference is any guideline, I can assure you participating is very rewarding on so many fronts. It’s in my dairy and I don’t want to miss out this year.

We invite you to look at the many more stories on our website not seen in this newsletter, as well as links to resources, photo libraries, reviews, our international events calendar, our jobs board, and now an eNews log of our past Friday newsletters.

Our newsroom is open, and if your business has news to share, please let us know. Feel free to contact me or our team in the newsroom at newsroom@marinebusinessnews.com.au
