Saturday Edition
And welcome to the weekend, members! Ah, Saturday, how we love thee. We hope you’re all looking forward to a relaxing day filled with family, friends, and good times because you deserve it! Oh, it’s Father’s Day tomorrow too! So if you’re looking for ways to spoil the special men in your life, check out our gift ideas below. Anyway, it would not be our morning newsletter without our daily good morning in a different language! So today, we’re learning some Polish as suggested by member Ludwik D. Thanks, Ludwik! Here we go: Dzień dobry (jane-doh-brih), members!
Our newsletter is jam-packed with all sorts of goodies, including the answer to yesterday’s riddle. So what was it again?
It is greater than God and more evil than the devil. Rich people need it, poor people have it, and if you eat it, you will die. What is it?
And the answer to this one is nothing! Why? Because nothing is greater than God and more evil than the devil. And obviously, if you eat nothing, you will die. Well, that was a deep one, wasn’t it? We must admit, we didn’t see that coming! But of course, as always, you have proved us wrong. If you managed to get the answer correct, head further down in the newsletter, and you’ll spot a shout-out just for you!
Let’s move on to our next segment for the day, ‘What Would the Grandkids Say?’
Today we’re taking a look at the phrase ‘main character energy’. Have you ever been on a bus looking out the window and it’s raining, and you’re having a moment like you’re in a music video? That’s called having ‘main character energy’. It’s when you feel like the world is your stage and you’re the star of the show. Well, we are all the stars of our own lives, but sometimes we need a little reminder of that! So next time your grandkids are feeling down, tell them to channel their ‘main character energy’ and see how they react!
Now, what’s happening across Australia and the world today?

Australia Remember When FB Group
For today’s ‘Yesterday’s Australia’ segment, we have a lovely memory from member @aquarius123. ‘My most cherished childhood memory is of sitting on the main road with our chairs watching TV through the window of the local electrical shop. We couldn't afford a TV at that stage, but it was exciting even just to watch a test pattern. I will include this memory when I write my memoirs, and I bet my grandkids will laugh!’ Wow, can you imagine sitting on the footpath now to watch TV?! I bet that was quite the experience! Thanks for sharing your
cherished memory with us!

Cockatoo Island Village
Today’s stunning picture is thanks to member @BMKal. He posted this photo in our photography forum with the caption, ‘This was my place of work on a number of occasions over the years. It’s the best fishing I’ve ever experienced and an endless supply of fresh oysters off the rocks, scenery second to none, and just a great atmosphere and place to work. It is a part of Australia that very few Australians
ever get to see. Plenty of great beaches – but you can’t swim in the ocean – if the sharks don’t get you, the crocodiles will. But there are two swimming pools on the island which are great for cooling down on a hot day.’ I can only imagine how stunning the views must be. It sounds like paradise. Thanks, @BMKal, for sharing this photo with us.
