School Spotlight: Benicia Uses the GFSF Model to Make Education Impactful to Students

Benicia High School teacher, Rocky Kim, sees students notice the importance of the Career Choices curriculum and My10YearPlan.com by making them mindful of their path forward as they pursue their dreams. 

“The impact of the program is not so much that it's gimmicky, it's just that it's practical. I always remind the students that you're learning the skills at being an adult—the skills you're not taught in school. I remind them of that and that tends to help... My stories and my anecdotes come from helping students realize that this is meaningful."

Benicia is a shining example of student success, exceeding state averages and standards in subject proficiency and graduation rate and has won five Career Choices Gold Medals to date.
