In early August AP4D organised an Australia-Philippines Track 1.5 Maritime Security Dialogue in Manila as part of the Blue Security program. The Program – a collaboration between AP4D, La Trobe Asia, Griffith Asia Institute, UNSW Canberra, the UWA Defence and Security Institute and United States Studies Centre – engages with and facilitates high quality research on issues of critical maritime security across the Indo-Pacific. Many thanks to the Philippines Ministry of Foreign Affairs for hosting, to DFAT for their ongoing support and to our Philippines and Australian academic colleagues for wide-ranging and thought-provoking discussions.
