Today’s ‘Yesterday’s Australia’ segment is thanks to @Suzanne rose, who shared a fun childhood memory. ‘My aunty had a tin horse exactly like this one, and then it became mine. We called him Jimmy. In 1965 I was just four years old, and this was my favourite toy, but unfortunately, my German Shepherd dog hated it. I wished I had this as a garden feature.’
What a lovely memory! It’s a reminder of the days when tin horses were one of the only sources of entertainment for kids. Do you remember your favourite toy? Thank you so much for sharing this lovely memory with us, @Suzanne rose.
