September 2022 ![]() Meet Our New Team MembersOMS is pleased to introduce four new team members who joined us this academic year: Sahana Boraiah, Primary 2 Assistant Teacher Learn more about the entire OMS team by viewing our staff page.
![]() Morning Drop-offsJust as adults need time to settle into their day before starting work, children need time to settle into school before starting their work cycles. This is why OMS is implementing a new policy requiring parents to drop-off their children between 8:15 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. (unless they are in extended morning care and arrive earlier). This allows them at least 30 minutes to acclimate before beginning their uninterrupted work period at 9:00 a.m. Arriving late is not only disruptive to your child, but also to their teachers and other children in their classroom. Accordingly, a late fee will be charged for children who arrive after 8:45 a.m. Since this is a new policy, there will be three grace periods and naturally, exceptions will be made if the school has been notified in advance of previously scheduled medical appointments, therapy/counseling sessions, etc.
