Tuesday Edition
Good morning and welcome to another Tuesday edition of our newsletter! How are you all doing this morning? I (Vella) am feeling pretty good over here, and I hope you are, too. Can you believe it's the last day of February already? This year is just flying by!
Speaking of time flying, today is a close friend’s birthday. We’ve been friends since we were just six years old. We met in primary school and have been inseparable ever since. And even though we don’t live in the same city anymore, we chat everyday. The reason I wanted to share this with you is because sometimes I think we can take the special people in our life for granted! So just a reminder to tell the people you love, that you love them. Do you have someone you love and want to give a shout-out to? Tell us what you love about them
most! 🙂
On a different note, let's move on to the answer to yesterday's riddle.
You have 6 eggs. You broke 2, cooked 2 and you ate 2 eggs. How many do you have left?
The answer is… 4! Why? Because you cooked and ate the same 2 eggs you broke! We also accepted those who answered 6. Since ‘you broke 2 eggs, cooked 2 eggs and ate 2 eggs’ are all past tense actions, they no longer exist. So, you still have the 6 eggs that you started with because 'have' is present tense. We hope that made sense! If you got the answer correct, head down to the bottom of this newsletter for a little shout-out.
Oh, and one more thing before we get into the news! Don’t forget to check out our brand new Australia-wide Seniors Discount Directory! It contains every seniors discount available in every state and territory across Australia. All you have to do to use it is type in your suburb name, or postcode and select your preferred category and click the pink ‘Search button’. Then all the senior discounts around you will appear!
Now then, what's happening across Australia and the world today?

Oh, and before we forget, did you know that Health Insurers are increasing their premiums by an average of 2.90% on April 1? Although that doesn’t seem like a ‘large’ increase, for an Aussie over the age of 65 that’s an additional $167 per year for their health cover. It’s worse if you’re with one of the ‘Big 5 Funds’ - think BUPA, Medibank, HCF, nib and HBF - you could
be paying a whopping $194 more per year for the exact same health cover. But that doesn’t have to be the case. Compare and save on your health insurance before April 1 here.*
