Sunday Edition
Goooood morning to all of our lovely members! How is everyone doing this morning? I (Maddie) am very excited this morning because I got to go to the most beautiful wedding yesterday in Mudgee, NSW. And it has me thinking, how wonderful is love? I know love isn’t a fairytale, and it takes a lot of hard work and commitment. But there really is nothing quite like watching two people, who just love and adore each other so much, get married. Do you remember your wedding? Was it the fairytale you were hoping for? I’d love to hear it all. The good, the bad, the ugly, and the funny!
Now, of course, it wouldn’t be a Sunday morning without our quote of the week. I wanted to keep this quote ‘on theme’ with my introduction. While it’s not necessarily about love, it is about moments and I think weddings are beautiful moments.
‘Enjoy the now.’
Such a simple little quote, that has a big meaning. I know I personally am always thinking about tomorrow, next week, next month, and next year. Sometimes I find my mind wandering even when I’m doing something I absolutely love. So, I’m challenging myself, and you, to enjoy the now. We don’t know what’s around the corner. But a Sunday morning, reading a nice newsletter (if I can say so myself) with a good cuppa and maybe a little bit of breakfast is a pretty good ‘now’. Just enjoy it.
By the way, before we get into the swing of things, we've got exciting news to share with you all! We launched our brand new website design last night, and it is now live! The forum works the same, and your experience using it hasn’t changed all that much. We have just updated the way the home page looks and made our articles a little more reader-friendly based on your feedback. You can check it all out here. Of course, if you have any issues or feedback, please let us know on the forum or by emailing us here.

Today’s ‘Yesterday’s Australia’ segment is brought to you by the lovely member, @featherfour. It’s a bit of a mystery that we need help solving! To read the full memory, click here. ‘My memory is a bit of a mystery and goes back to 1961 when I started at primary school (we were called "bubs") at Hughesdale State School. I was not taught the alphabet, or even that the vowels were "a, e, i, o, and u;" instead, our walls were covered in charts where all of the sounds were represented by a different colour. We were taught to recite "White a"
(as in cat), "Yellow u" (as in up), pink i (as in bit), "blue e" (as in get), "gold o" (as in got). The "a" in "gave" would have a different colour because it was a different sound. The "th" in "the" would both be the same colour because they represented a single sound.’
I have honestly never heard of this @featherfour?! But I would love to solve this mystery for you! Did anyone else have to do this at school? And if so, do you know what it was for? Or why? We’d love to know, and we’re sure member @featherfour would too!

The Terracotta Warriors
Wow! How incredible is this photo that was posted on our forum by member @dragabagalong? They posted it along with this explanation, ‘The "Terracotta Warriors" of Xian, China. There are thousands of these warriors, which were accidentally discovered quite recently, by a local farmer, digging for water. A large number of them have been broken into small pieces during their excavation, but a team of very
determined workers are putting those back together, small piece by small piece. Every single one of them has its own unique features and face. It takes hours to take it all in. A very unique sight.’ Thank you so much for sharing this, @dragabagalong, and for the very detailed explanation!

A couple was having dinner one evening when the husband reached across the table took his wife's hand in his and said,
‘Marie, soon we will be married 30 years, and there's something I have to know. In all of these 30 years, have you ever been unfaithful to me?’
Marie replied, ‘Well Charles, I have to be honest with you…’
