Good morning and happy Saturday, dear members! I must say, I’ve been eagerly waiting for the weekend since Monday rolled in. How about you? I (Vella) am looking forward to a relaxing weekend. I’ve got a date with my lounge and a Korean series I’ve been obsessing over called The Good Bad Mother. It’s an emotional rollercoaster that tackles the complexities of parenting, childhood, and disability. It also showcases the incredible lengths mothers go to for their children, and that’s why I have a question for you! What’s the greatest thing your mother ever did for you? I’ll go first. Beyond the gift of life itself, I’m forever grateful to my mum for accepting me for who I am. I never had to come out to her; she just seemed to know. She embraced my partner too, and I’m forever grateful for that love. Now, it’s your turn! Share the most remarkable thing your mother has ever done for you in our forum here.
Before I get too emotional, let's dive into today's newsletter, shall we? First, let’s reveal the answer to yesterday’s riddle! So what was it again?
I have two arms but fingers none. I have two feet but cannot run. I carry well, but I have found I carry best with my feet OFF the ground. What am I?
And the answer to this one is: a wheelbarrow! You know the drill, members! If you got the answer correct, you'll find your well-deserved shout-out further down in the newsletter!
Let’s move on to today’s segment, ‘What Would the Grandkids Say’. Today’s term is ‘rizz'. This term, derived from the word ‘charisma’, refers to the ability of a person to attract someone. Rizz is all about the way a person carries themselves. You know, those people who are just naturally confident flirters and smooth talkers? That’s rizz. So next time your grandkids are looking for a date, tell them to make sure they work on their rizz. 😉
