Welcome to the spring edition of the NSCLC Patient Gateway newsletter.

Lung cancer research and treatment are advancing rapidly. Articles in this issue emphasize the critical need for comprehensive biomarker testing at diagnosis or disease progression in patients with NSCLC. This testing, also known as next-generation sequencing or molecular profiling, identifies actionable targets for targeted therapies. We're witnessing targeted therapies not only for advanced stages but also in early-stage NSCLC.

Immunotherapy is another significant aspect discussed, offering benefits across different racial groups. Exciting developments include vaccines and antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs), a new class of drugs targeting cancer cells more precisely. While ADCs face challenges in NSCLC and SCLC, they hold promise for future treatment options.

Explore these advances in lung cancer research in the articles below.
