Australia Remember When FB Group
Today’s ‘Yesterday’s Australia’ segment is thanks to member @Bev07, who shared a lovely childhood memory. ‘I was born in 1955. It was a great time growing up. All the kids in our street would be in and out of each other's homes playing marbles (never see it nowadays), fishing down the creek at the end of the street, catching very small fish and bringing them home alive and sitting under a huge mango tree, recatching them from a big container. Christmas time was huge. Grandparents, cousins, family friends, and all those aunties and
uncles that, of course, weren't aunties and uncles. We used to make kites from sticks, newspaper, flour, and water (our glue). I could go on and on. Despite the fact that I was adopted, I had the best upbringing a person could have.’ Oh, this is such a lovely memory! It sounds like you had a wonderful childhood filled with lots of love and laughter. Thank you for sharing this with us, @Bev07!

Morning Peak Hour in Venice
We absolutely love this photo of the morning peak hour in Venice captured by our very own @dragabagalong. They posted this stunning photo in our photography forum with the caption, ‘It was cold and frosty, but the tourists got the gondolas out early. No days off for those gondoliers.’ Ah, the sights and sounds of Venice! It’s a busy scene, but a beautiful one, too. Thank you, @dragabagalong, for sharing your stunning photography with us!
