Tourism Western Australia’s first India Roadshow since international borders reopened took place this week in New Delhi and Mumbai, where we worked in collaboration with Business Events Perth and 16 industry operators to showcase the Dream State to more than 300 tourism, travel and trade partners based in India. India is a priority market for WA and represents enormous growth potential for our visitor economy. It is one of our fastest-recovering markets since the pandemic, and now is a crucial time for us to strengthen our relationships with in-market agents to leverage this potential and ensure we are driving the growth of this market. Tourism WA also took the Dream State over east, with eight incredible Aboriginal tourism operators and representatives from the WA Indigenous Tourism Operator Council (WAITOC) taking part in our first-ever Aboriginal Tourism Showcase in Melbourne, Sydney, and Auckland last week. Journey Through the Dream State: A Western Australia Aboriginal Showcase gave each operator the opportunity to present their unique tourism experiences to around 225 key media and trade stakeholders. Hosting the Aboriginal Tourism Showcase supports the delivery of the Jina:
Western Australian Aboriginal Tourism Action Plan 2021-2025, which aims to make Western Australia the premier Australian destination for authentic Aboriginal tourism.
