The news that the PGA and LIV intend to merge may have been a surprise to many in terms of timing and the apparent U-turn, but it was only a matter of time before the investment monies pouring into sport began to change the structure of the sports themselves. Sports are more like political ecosystems than businesses so expect a fair amount of legal and economic turbulence before the deal is executed. In the meantime, read how O&O helped the EFL become the sixth most valuable league in Europe in a more traditional media deal.

Elsewhere, all the talk is of the inevitable bundling and aggregation of the many SVOD services globally.
