NEWS UPDATE

29 May 2026

Publishers note

The dust has started to settle following the heightened level of activity in Southeast Queensland over the past two weeks. No doubt many within our industry are still making their way back to their own business premises, hopefully with plenty to do and plenty to follow up on.

Congratulations to the Sanctuary Cove team on the successful delivery of their event. The team reported a swag of successes, including more than 41,000 visitors.

Equally, our congratulations go to the ASMEX (AIMEX) and Marinas26 (MIA) teams for their successful events. As has been the case in the past, Marine Business News has walked away with plenty of news and stories to tell, and we will do that over the coming weeks.

Reports suggest World Boating Day was well attended across many locations around the world. Thank you to those who participated. We will have a short update next week.

After attending the two conferences, my head and notebook were both full. Last night, while reading through my notes, I had a chuckle at a new acronym I heard for the first time. It came up a couple of times, interestingly during the A.I. sessions. The acronym was TLDR, the abbreviation for “Too Long, Didn’t Read”.

Something new I have to contend with no doubt, but for now, I have created my own acronym, ETRWYW, which describes how we design and deliver Marine Business News, meaning “Everything There, Read What You Want”.

We do hope you enjoy this week’s news.
