We’re gathering evangelists, gospel workers, pastors, and ministry leaders from across Aotearoa for two catalytic days — and we’d love you to be there.

It will be a time to be encouraged and inspired in your work for the Lord, as well as an opportunity to meet others from across the motu who feel called to share the Lord’s heart with those around them.

Women in the New Testament and Early Church’ from the Theology Programme, University of Otago.

 
 

Professor Lynn Cohick, distinguished Professor of New Testament and Director of the Houston Theological Seminary at Houston Christian University, will teach this intensive course at the University of Otago, Dunedin. It is a semester 1 paper (BIBS 324/423), with all the teaching in this intensive week from 1pm Monday 26 January 2026 to 1 pm Friday 30 January. Assessment follows in the semester. 

Topics covered in the course include: 

  • Women in the Greco-Roman World;
  • Women in the Synoptic Gospels;
  • Women in the Gospel of John and Acts;
  • Women and Marriage in the Pauline texts and 1 Peter;
  • Women Martyrs. 

The course is jointly offered by the Theology Programme at the University of Otago and the Knox Centre for Ministry and Leadership (KCML), who also offer an audit option.

Join Scripture Union in growing young leaders across Aotearoa

 

Scripture Union New Zealand (SUNZ) partners with churches to help young people discover Jesus and become life-long disciples who serve their communities.

They are currently seeking a Leadership Development Facilitator. This is a unique role focused on investing in the growth and development of young volunteer leaders involved in SUNZ and wider ministries throughout Aotearoa.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about mentoring, equipping, and encouraging the next generation of Christian leaders.
