Watch this video below and explore how we’re continuing our legacy and how you can prepare for your installation.

PORTION OF SHERMER RD. TO CLOSE FOR METRA CROSSING REPAIRS

The Village of Northbrook has announced a full closure of Shermer Road between Meadow Road and Walters Avenue from May 12–21 to allow Metra to repair defects at the railroad crossing.

The closure follows the discovery of defects that, while not yet hazardous, require prompt attention to ensure continued safety and service reliability. Work will include removing and replacing rail panels, updating signals, and repaving the roadway.

A marked detour route will guide traffic, and while sidewalks and bike lanes will also be closed, businesses in the area will remain open. This work will not delay the ongoing Downtown Streetscape Project. View full details by clicking the button below.
