We hope you’ll agree that the newly completed section looks great and provides a much smoother drive. While there are a few minor finishing items still to be completed, this site is now virtually finished.
Caption: Images above taken on the Pukeho and Toro roads section. The section between Toro Road and the first dog trials site is also largely complete. Unfortunately, this area took slightly longer than originally planned, and we apologise for the extended delays experienced by road users. The final major construction area currently underway is between Pukeho and Toro roads. Those who regularly travel through this section will have noticed the fast pace of work as the team pushes towards completion and sealing ahead of winter. We understand delays through this site can range from around 10 minutes up to 40 minutes while Fulton Hogan continues construction. Thank you for your patience during this period. With most earthworks now complete, waiting times should start to reduce. In addition, you would have seen the Downer team undertaking general road maintenance along Tarata Road, including dig‑outs and repairs to the most affected sections. This work aims to improve surface conditions ahead of winter and reduce the likelihood of potholes developing. These smaller maintenance sites operate under stop/go traffic management and are expected to continue for approximately another three weeks.
