Both events often evoke the hope and inspiration that many of us need to reach new goals and to live our best lives. This year, Stanford’s MLK Jr. Research and Education Institute (The Institute), which was launched only a few years ago, seeks to expand our understanding and awareness of Dr. King. They are stoking new conversations around health equity, which very few realize was one of Dr. King’s passions, with a Health Equity Symposium co-hosted by Stanford Medicine. Although the event now has a waitlist, please reach out to me if you would like to attend; The Institute is a solid friend of SLAC’s DEI+ Office and it would be invaluable to have the conversations from the symposium help shape our science.
