NEWS UPDATE15 July 2022 Publishers noteI had the opportunity to be in Darling Harbour yesterday and I walked past Cockle Bay. It was great to see the team on site building the marina for the upcoming Sydney International Boat Show, due to open in less than two weeks (28 July to 1 August). After a hiatus in 2020 and 2021, it means that it has been three years since the last show in 2019. Pleasingly we are hearing and reading about many new releases, and rightly so, as the Sydney International Boat Show has always been a haven for new boat and product buyers, and in particular repeat buyers who are looking for the latest and greatest to hit the market. Sadly, we are also hearing of some major brands that won’t be participating, and others who have selected to run their own events to coincide with the show at different locations around Sydney. Hopefully this is just a post COVID glitch, and we will see the industry again reunited at what was the largest, and very much respected marine event, in the southern hemisphere, sometime in the years to come. Lots to read and learn about. We hope you enjoy this week’s edition of our “Marine Business News update”. Remember, not all stories are featured in our weekly newsletter.
