Your adaptability and creativity have been remarkable! As the peak body for volunteering in Western Australia, Volunteering WA continues to stay true to delivering our mission of leading, advancing and celebrating volunteering. It's been a challenging time for the sector as we try to adapt to living with COVID and safeguarding volunteers through vaccination, but we are hopeful that 2022 will present new ways for us all to live through the pandemic whilst continuing to support our sector. 2021 has been a BIG planning year and we are very excited to bring you a slew of new and updated programs in the coming year, as we continue to build support our members as they respond to ongoing and new challenges, including crises that require the helping hands of volunteers. It makes us extremely proud and moved to see our community stepping up time and time again to support those most vulnerable. To kick off 2022 with a bang, please watch out for our VWA Society campaign to attract younger volunteers, the National Volunteer Week Grants which will open at the end of January, as well as nominations for the WA Volunteer of the Year Awards. We’ll also be putting the finishing touches to INVOLVE, our new volunteer management platform that will make managing your volunteers a whole lot easier. We look forward to working with you in 2022 as we reframe, reimagine and redefine volunteering, and build a stronger and thriving community. Thank you to our valued members, volunteers, and volunteering organisations across the State that have helped us to empower people and communities to transform WA. I’d like to invite and welcome new members to Volunteering WA, as your support is crucial in amplifying the voice of volunteering in our state. From the Volunteering WA board, staff and volunteers, we wish you a safe and happy festive season. Happy Volunteering! CHRISTMAS CLOSURE ~ Volunteering WA |
