Hi! The 19th international Stereohype Button Badge Design Competition is now open for entries until Monday, 21 September 2026.

If you missed the first call – or if your idea simply needs a little more time to find its final 1inch / 25mm form – there is now an extra window to take part. 

Please share this with students, friends, colleagues and anyone who might enjoy turning a tiny circle into something memorable.

Since 2004, Stereohype has grown from a small graphic-art label into an international collection and community: 1777 button badges by more than 650 contributors from around the world, spanning graphic design, illustration, typography, photography and visual art. 

Every competition adds fresh voices, artworks and stories to this growing, wearable archive. It is free to enter and open worldwide to creatives aged 18+.

This year’s brilliant jury brings together former competition winners, B.I.O. contributors, badge-loving writers, editors, illustrators, artists and graphic designers: Antonia Henschel, Camille Whitcher, Christine Moosmann / Grafikmagazin, DTM_INC, Egon Swaels, Gavin Lucas, Geneviève Gauckler, Holly T. Burrows, Jonny Leigh, Jono Sandilands, Julien Rivoire, Linzie Hunter, Paul McNeill, Rebecca Fulleylove / Creative Review, Sabine Danek / PAGE – Das Magazin der Kreativbranche, Tatiana Furlan and Tomi Vollauschek.

Before preparing your entry, please visit Stereohype’s official Competitions page. It includes the essential Artwork Guide PDF, submission requirements, prizes, the confirmed jury list and downloadable PSD artwork templates for both competition categories.

Extended deadline: Monday, 21 September 2026, at 23:59 / 11.59pm in your own time zone.

Meanwhile – and importantly, separately from the open call – the FL@33 / Tomi Vollauschek-curated By Invitation Only (B.I.O.) Series 23 is also taking shape. B.I.O. is an invitation-only, hand-picked project, not a second competition category.

Its new collection is planned to arrive alongside the announcement of this year’s open-call winners.
