Metaport is for insights, Jira is for execution. No images? Click here The Metaport ReportHi there, This is Russ from Dcentrica with the July edition of the Metaport Report, and as is usual for any startup or bootstrapper, we've been busy! We're especially excited to tell you about Metaport's Jira integration, and for our plans to add automatic issue creation in your Project Management tool of choice. We've also dusted-off and polished the Metaport slide deck as we're offering free in-person demos with your Project Management team if you're located in Wellington NZ or remote if you're further afield. Just hit "reply" or email hello@dcentrica.com to get the ball rolling. PMs, Leads, and execs - if you haven't yet told us how your team does application maintenance, now's your chance. You can read about where Metaport fits here, and if you haven't yet played with the Metaport Demo, it's free - all we ask is for you to let us know what you think. OK, so on with the show!
Cross Portfolio SearchIn May, Metaport users got even more power. Customer facing roles are still requesting information for planning purposes from development teams, and in response developers are manually surfacing potentially at-risk projects one at a time. Therefore location and notification across project portfolios should be a no-brainer. Use Metaport to locate projects by CVE, dependency, Framework, Host, or Runtime. No more disturbing developers to ask if "that app" is exposed. Have a play on the Metaport Demo.
New Open Source LicenseIn June, we re-licensed Metaport's open source core under the AGPL-v3. It wasn't a decision undertaken lightly, but it's one we believe balances the best of the open source tenets of openness and giving back. Read more about it on the Metaport Slack. Jira IntegrationLast month in July, we released something we'd been thinking about for a long time - integrating Metaport with your favourite Project Management tool. Because application insights on their own just aren't enough for users to be truly effective. They need to leverage the tools they already have. So Metaport now integrates with Jira! Other tool integrations are planned and because Metaport is extensible, there's no reason it can't integrate with your own on-prem or SaaS Project Management tool. Hit reply or email hello@dcentrica.com to find out more. Want a demo or got questions? We’re always keen to talk to folks interested in better management of their digital projects, especially when they also believe that it needn't be so fraught! Come and say hello and read the whitepaper and understand how your operation could do better. |
