When Nonprofits Thrive, Cities Change

This Summer, You Can Multiply Kingdom Impact

Your Donor Advised Fund Can Transform Communities

Did you know a Donor Advised Fund (DAF) is one of the simplest and most tax-efficient ways to support Mission Charlotte? By recommending a grant from your DAF, you are equipping nonprofits and churches with the tools, coaching, and support they need to thrive.

We partner with NCF Carolinas so you can also gift non-cash assets like stock to Mission Charlotte.

Note from Our Executive Director

People are the heartbeat of every nonprofit. Every decision to hire, every effort to develop leaders, and even the hard moments of releasing someone from a role are opportunities to shape culture.

This quarter we are focusing on staff leadership because we believe strong teams lead to strong missions. Our upcoming workshop will equip you with Biblical principles and practical tools for hiring, developing leaders, and navigating transitions in ways that honor God and strengthen your mission.

Ephesians 4:16 reminds us, “From Him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love as each part does its work.”

And please remember, you are not alone in this journey.

Organization Spot Light

Defend the Fatherless was founded with the goal of lessening the burdens of foster and adoptive families in our community. They hope to be one more reason to say, “Yes” to the Fatherless. As they work to live out the scripture verse James 1:27, Defend the Fatherless aims to meet the physical, emotional, spiritual, educational, and financial needs of the families they serve.  Hear what their Executive Director has to say about their partnership with Mission Charlotte:

"Mission Charlotte’s strategic guidance has reshaped our organizational and leadership framework. Like any nonprofit organization, Defend continues to evolve as an organization. We have adopted more effective governance models, revised our board size to better align with organizational needs, and expanded our committee offerings to enhance board engagement and accountability over the last couple of years. These changes have led to greater clarity, stronger leadership, and more sustainable impact in our mission to serve vulnerable children and families.

We are honored to partner with an organization that strengthens not only individual nonprofits but also the broader ecosystem of service across our community. "

Board Chair Luncheon

We are hosting a Board Chair interest luncheon. Our Board Chair, John Parker, will facilitate a discussion about the possibility of convening non-profit Board Chairs and Vice Chairs on a regular basis to explore best practices in Board Governance, engage in learning from real-time situations with actual non-profits in Charlotte, and cultivate a peer-to-peer learning community among Board Chairs and Vice Chairs.
