I am honored to write to you as the president of ECF and invite you to participate in the Epicurean Charitable Foundation’s 6th Annual Golf Classic, Monday the 17th of May at Canyon Gate Country Club.
I am reaching out to introduce you to a local program that is making a big impact on the industry and to request your support. Supporting ECF students is a great investment in our community. All of our students are currently enrolled in UNLV with the intention of becoming leaders in Las Vegas’ primary industry: hospitality.
The ECF Golf Classic is a social day of golf featuring a putting contest at 7:15am and an 8am shotgun start. It is a scramble format with a requirement of two drives from each player in the group. There will be contests on the course. Complimentary beverages and bites will be available throughout the round. Player packages are priced at $1,000 for teams of four. Last year’s tournament was sold out but as a past supporter, you have VIP early access. Tournament entry will open to the public on April 1. To quickly secure your spot please click here.
ECF is a Las Vegas-based organization committed to making a positive difference in the community and enriching the lives of deserving local students by providing mentorship and educational support as they pursue a career in the field of hospitality. Local high school students currently are at a 14% four-year graduation rate. In recent years, ECF has achieved an 85% four-year graduation rate, with a minimum 3.0 GPA from our students. We attribute this success due to increased emphasis on our organization’s academic assistance program and collaborations with UNLV and, even more significantly, one-on-one mentoring is key to the students’ success.Mentors meet regularly with their students to ensure they are on the path to personal, academic, and professional success.

FUTURE LEADERS OF HOSPITALITY PROGRAM
In addition to earning a scholarship to the university of their choice, ECF scholarship recipients also benefit from the Future Leaders of Hospitality Program, which pairs a student with a mentor from the board each year for the duration of their education. Mentees meet with their mentor at least once a month to receive personal guidance and invaluable professional experience. ECF provides our students university scholarships (tuition, books, and fees), networking, leadership training, etiquette development, and internship and job placement opportunities with comprehensive work force development programs.
