We gained some valuable insights that will help us deliver consumer health forum Aotearoa events that best work for you, the forum members. The first is the next in-person consumer forum hui. It will be held in Ōtautahi | Christchurch on 25 May 2023. Save this date, and we will provide more details on how to register in the new year. The second announcement is a very exciting opportunity for forum members. We are running a strategic planning design workshop for the forum and are looking for ten consumers to partner with Commission staff to map out how the forum can be a vehicle for change in health. Read below for more details about this opportunity. November and December have been busy months for us all. We wish you and your whānau a safe and happy time and look forward to connecting more in 2023. Noho ora mai Deon York, Wāhi whakawhiti kōrero hauora | Consumer health forum Aotearoa We are looking for ten consumers who are passionate about strengthening the forum as a vehicle for change to enable the consumer voice in the health system. Those selected will participate in a strategic design workshop in partnership with Commission staff and Creative HQ, an organisation that supports government agencies to solve challenges and develop creative solutions. This workshop will be on Tuesday 21 and Wednesday 22 February 2023. It will form the beginning of a forum leadership group, leading to future opportunities. Ngā kitenga o te wānanga hauora kiritaki Aotearoa i te 10 o Whiringa-ā-rangi 2022 | Findings from the consumer health forum Aotearoa hui on 10 November 2022 The report summarising the findings and discussions from the hui on 10 November 2022 is now available here. The forum members focused on the hauora of Māori people, Pacific peoples, disabled people and older people and on mental health and addictions. The Health Quality & Safety Commission (the Commission) will pass on the suggestions that were offered and share any resulting feedback with forum members.
