Tuesday Edition
Well, hello members, fancy seeing you here this wonderful Tuesday morning. 😉 Ah, Tuesday, the day when we are all just getting over the Monday blues and are ready to start the week anew. How are you all feeling? If you’re feeling a bit sluggish this morning, don’t worry, we have just the thing to perk you right up. We have a ton of stuff for you to feast your minds on today! But before we get into that, it's time for our good morning greeting in a different language! Today's language recommendation is thanks to members Liz and Brian, who suggested we learn some Swahili. Here we go: Habari za asubuhi (Habari-ya-asuboohi), members! We hope you enjoyed that. Now then, let's get into the swing of things.
First things first, let’s give you the answer to yesterday’s riddle!
What goes up and down but doesn’t move?
So the official answer is a staircase, but temperature works too! We knew that one would trip a few of you up (pun not intended)! We must say, we were pretty stumped by that one too. For today’s ‘Yesterday’s Australia’ segment, we have a lovely memory from member @Akldhawkes. ‘This is how we cooled down when I was young. We emigrated from the UK in January 1962. I was 4, so I can’t really remember the heat, but I am guessing it was a shock to our parents coming from a very cold climate to a very hot one with no aircon.’ Oh my goodness, how adorable! I can only imagine how hot it must have been, especially without air conditioning! This looks like a fun way to cool down on a hot day. Thank you for sharing this beautiful
memory with us, @Akldhawkes!
