No images? Click here Hey y'all, I hope you are well and enjoying spring! I'm still wrapping up TROUBLE'S TURN TO LOSE, and I've been so deep into my story, I haven't been able to read as much lately. This happens to me at some point during the writing of every book. I just can't have any more people in my head. The most exciting thing happening in my world right now is that we're getting ready to launch the second edition of Lowcountry Boneyard! I'm buttoning up the last of the details and waiting for the audiobook production to wrap up, and then it will be all set for release on April 22 in most formats. The audio will be available through my website on April 22, but won't be available through other retailers until May 1. If you didn't catch it at the top of this newsletter, check out the new cover! I confess, while Lowcountry Boneyard is one of my personal favorites of my books, (I know, I shouldn't have favorites!) I never truly loved the original cover. But I adore this new one... Lowcountry Boneyard, second edition To celebrate the upcoming release, right now the ebook version of Lowcountry Boil is on sale. If you haven't read it yet, grab your copy in my store or at any major retailer except for Kobo for just 99¢. If you are a Kobo reader, you can get a copy for free as part of their Buy One Get One Free Sale on select thrillers when you purchase any other participating eBook. I hope you'll take advantage of these deals if you've been waiting to give the Liz Talbot Mystery Series a try! Since Lowcountry Boil is the first book in the series, it would make a lovely gift for a fellow book lover too. In events news, I'm hitting the road in just a few days for not one but two in-person appearances, and I'm so looking forward to getting out and seeing everyone. First up, I'll be at Towns in Tune in Newberry, South Carolina on Wednesday, April 23rd to do a reading from The Sullivan's Island Supper Club as part of this international collaboration of artists and writers. This is a ticketed event, so head on over to my website for more information if you'd like to attend. After that, I'll be heading up to Maryland for the annual Malice Domestic conference in Bethesda April 25th - 27th. This will be my first Malice Domestic in several years and I simply cannot wait! If you've never been, it's a real treat. Fans and authors interact frequently with panels, signings, and more. I'm honored to have been asked to participate in a panel about independent publishing, and I'm looking forward to seeing everyone there. Next week in The Lowcountry Book Club, you can watch Susan Zurenda and I chat with Mary Martha Greene regarding the April Book of the Month, The Cheese Biscuit Queen: Kiss My Aspic!. The video will be posted in the group at 10:00 a.m. Eastern on Thursday, April 24th, and if you haven't joined the group yet, we'd love to have you! Please watch at your convenience anytime after the video goes live and leave your comments or additional questions in the comments. Finally, I have a new recipe. This one will appear in TROUBLE'S TURN TO LOSE. It's one of those things Gavin makes for Hadley, and I confess, while our household has completely fallen off the plant-based wagon, this recipe is one we all enjoy.
Warmly,
Private Investigator Liz Talbot is a modern Southern belle: she blesses hearts and takes names. She carries her Sig 9 in her Kate Spade handbag, and her golden retriever, Rhett, rides shotgun in her hybrid Escape. When her grandmother is murdered, Liz high-tails it back to her South Carolina island home to find the killer. She’s fit to be tied when her police-chief brother shuts her out of the investigation, so she opens her own. Then her long-dead best friend pops in and things really get complicated. When more folks start turning up dead in this small seaside town, Liz must use more than just her wits and charm to keep her family safe, chase down clues from the hereafter, and catch a psychopath before he catches her.
