MARINE BUSINESS NEWS

NEWS UPDATE

5 May 2023

Publishers note

The team at BIA Victoria has been busy this week with plenty of activities. Reports suggest that the Discover Boating End of Season Run Out delivered a vibrant and positive outcome. The team described the guests as a "modest but enthusiastic group of visitors". The images painted a vibrant mood for an event that looked good and was blessed with great weather.

Their AGM was held last Wednesday, with Michelle Reid stepping up to chair the Manufacturers division, replacing President Eleni Savva, who also left the Board. Please take the time to complete their survey and help address the Marine Industry skills shortage. It is simple and easy to complete, and with industry help, it will go a long way in informing the team on what they can do to further support the industry.

The Sanctuary Cove Boat Show is, again, the focus of activity for many within our industry this week. Chaparral will celebrate their 20th year at the show, Highfield will have CEO Julien Carussi will visit from overseas, and both Riviera and Maritimo will have fabulous vessels to unveil. These are just a few of the many announcements made over the previous weeks, and I have no doubt we will hear more between now and when the show opens its doors on the 25th of this month.

As usual, we are delighted to present a broad range of news this week.
