Tuesday Edition
Good morning, members! Or Guten Morgen (Gu-Ten MOR-Gen), as they would say in Germany. How are you all today? We hope you all are staying warm and cosy as plunging temperatures, rainfall, and snow hit parts of the country. It will be a chilly week, so make sure you bundle up! As for us, we’re nice and snug indoors, bundled up in our comfiest clothes, and are ready to bring you another day of interesting things to read and do. So without further ado, let’s jump right in!
First things first, let’s give you the answer to yesterday’s puzzling riddle. Here’s a quick recap of exactly what it was.
What connects two people, but only touches one?
The answer is… a wedding ring! Well, a wedding ring is worn by one person, but it symbolises the connection between two people. Ah, that was a lovely one, wasn’t it? If you got the answer correct, scroll down to the bottom of this newsletter for your well-deserved shoutout!

Today’s ‘Yesterday Australia’ segment is thanks to member @Mars, who shared a lovely memory of making mud pies. ‘Something we loved doing when we were kids was making mud pies, and we had an old stove in the backyard, so we would then cook them. Kids came from other houses to join us, and they would take their mud pies home. Another thing was that we were able to go anywhere and not worry about the dangers that kids these days have to be careful of. At night, we had to go home when the street lights came on.’
Oh my goodness, making mud pies was the best! Who remembers their parents getting mad when they tracked mud into the house? I do! But it was always worth it! Other kids would join us and while they never turned out great, that didn't matter. What mattered was the fun we had making them. Thank you, @Mars, for sharing this memory with us!
