What's on at Petersham Bowling Club this month.. No images? Click here May newsNotice anything different? That’s right – the roof replacement is moving along in leaps and bounds. You’ll notice next time you’re in that the tiling is nearly complete and the club is looking fantastic. And while there is still a bit to do, for now we can say ‘Huzzah! - no more leaks!’ Getting this roof replacement over the line has been a huge step forward for the club and now all eyes turn toward our next big project – our accessibility ramp. A reminder to jump on our GoFundMe page and help us get there if you can and keep an eye out for our special edition newsletter coming at the end of this week with all the fundraiser info. We had a cracking month with memberships in April – 191 of you either joined or rejoined, including 39 Associate Members. Thank you all for your support – and all you Associates, don’t forget to let the bar staff know to get your discounts… Now the days are getting shorter and the beers are getting darker, which means…our first Dark Beer & Fire Night for 2024 is coming up this month. Enjoy winter properly this year at The PBC with dark beers, mulled things and a fire! Sham Fest, what a time! When the apocalyptic weather hit on Friday the 5th we thought we were going to have to call it off but with a bit of luck and a lot of hopeful wishes the clouds cleared and an incredible weekend ensued thanks to our incredible performers, Philter Brewing, Gig Buddies, Deaf Connect, Yeah Rad, 2SER and Inner West Council. We'd like to make a special mention to Deputy Mayor Chloe Smith and Mayor Darcy Byrne for stopping by, Aunty Patricia Blackman for Welcoming us on Gadigal Land and to the incredible Cate Woodward the events co-ordinator at Inner West Council for her guidance and time. We are thrilled to announce that thanks to Inner West Council Sham Fest will be a yearly event here at the club.
