Hello there.
Welcome to The Lealman Voice
Welcome to the Lealman Voice! The Lealman Voice is all about keeping our community connected and informed. Each issue highlights local programs, events, and the people making a difference right here in Lealman. If you have neighborhood updates, upcoming activities, or success stories to share, we’d love to hear from you. The Lealman Exchange is bringing the community together for its 2nd Annual LEX Listens — an evening dedicated to hearing directly from the people who matter most: you. On Wednesday, June 3, doors open at 6:30 p.m. for a relaxed, open conversation about the programs, spaces, and experiences that make the Lealman Exchange a hub for the community. Whether you're a longtime participant or visiting for the first time, your voice shapes what happens here. Our annual survey is open for feedback at this
link. Whether or not you can attend LEX Listens in person, we want to hear from you. LEX Listens is rooted in a simple belief: the best ideas for a community come from within it. No agenda, no politics — just neighbors sharing what they need, what they love, and where they'd like to see things grow. Come as you are. Bring a friend. Be heard.

The Tampa Bay Business Coalition for the Arts annually awards six or more $2,500 scholarships to Tampa Bay–area high school juniors and seniors with exceptional talent in instrumental and vocal music, theatre, dance, visual arts, and literary arts who are pursuing higher education in the arts. Founded in 2008 by the late Charlie Hounchell, former Tampa Bay BCA president, the CHASS program was later renamed in his honor. To date, Tampa Bay BCA has awarded over $280,000 in tuition assistance to more than 102 students, the majority from public high schools across the Tampa Bay region. Eligible students in Hillsborough, Pinellas, Manatee, and Pasco counties may apply in one or multiple disciplines (separate online applications required
for each). There is no application fee, and all materials must be submitted online. Applications close March 29, 2026.
Creative Pinellas is offering a new series of workshops to provide Mental Health First Aid Training
Via Tampa Bay 28 Creative Pinellas is offering a new series of workshops to provide Mental Health First Aid Training, in collaboration with the Love IV Lawrence Foundation and four Pinellas County arts organizations. Participants will gain the tools to recognize and respond to signs of mental health and substance use challenges. The training provides two hours of self-paced online content followed by five (5) hours of instructor-led training, resulting in certification as a Mental Health First Aid practitioner. No cost to participants thanks to Safe
and Sound Hillsborough with funding support from Love IV Lawrence. Lunch provided. Four sessions in March will take place from 9 am-3 pm at partnering organizations: Lealman Exchange (March 25), Dunedin Fine Art Center (March 27), FloridaRAMA (March 28), and freeFall Theater (March 30). Go to creativepinellas.org and click on Events to sign up for a session.
