The Perth Boat Show kicks off today, and the Melbourne Boat Show launches on October 17th. Reporting that the boat show season is over is a bit naive and doesn’t acknowledge the history, importance, and power of these two regions. To our friends and industry colleagues in the west, we wish industry participants, show organisers, and boat show owners the best for a successful event over the next three days. For those in Victoria, if you haven’t secured your space at the Melbourne show yet, give the team at BIAV a call sooner rather than later to see if you can still be accommodated. The Marina Industries Association (MIA) has announced that entries are now open for the 2025 Nautilus Marine Insurance Marina of the Year Awards. This biennial event celebrates excellence and leadership in the marina industry and continues to set new benchmarks for marinas and the facilities and services they offer. These much-coveted awards are something all marinas should aspire to. After reading the award categories for 2025, I extend my congratulations to the MIA, who have once again shown they are on point with a changing industry sector, in tune with the world's best practices.
