Hey y'all,

Are you as excited for spring as I am? I confess I'm as busy as I've ever been writing Trouble's Turn to Lose (FORTHCOMING) and tending to my family's various needs, but I am so looking forward to sneaking in a bit of quiet porch reading in the warmer days ahead!

As for my work-in-progress, many of you reached out after last month's cover reveal for Trouble's Turn to Lose (FORTHCOMING) to ask if I'd experienced a change of heart about a possible Liz Talbot - Hadley Cooper crossover. The short answer is yes! Although I am on record many times confirming that Stella Maris does not exist in Hadley Cooper's world, I am delighted to share that I have indeed been moved to reconsider my position on the matter, and this new book will reflect that change. Come June, y'all can expect Liz and Rhett to make their way to Sullivan's Island for a visit, just as some of y'all suspected after having the first look at the cover of Trouble's Turn to Lose (FORTHCOMING).

I was also recently asked if it is possible to read previous installments of my newsletter for those of you who might have missed a few or are new to the list. I'm pleased to share that this is now something you can do if you're so inclined simply by clicking here. Going forward, you'll be able to find the Read Previous Newsletters button at the bottom of each monthly volume I send out, and if you scroll all the way to the end of this issue, you'll find that the button is waiting for you this month too.

Next week in The Lowcountry Book Club, I'll be chatting with author Grace Helena Walz about the March Book of the Month, her debut novel,  Southern by Design. (Susan Zurenda will not be able to join us this month due to her own family health crisis.) The video will be posted in the group at 10:00 a.m. Eastern on Thursday, March 27th. If you haven't joined the group yet, we'd love to have you! Please watch at your convenience anytime after the video goes live and leave your comments or additional questions in the comments.

Last but certainly not least, a tasty treat from the Carolina Tales for my fellow foodies! Many of y'all have requested this recipe, and I'm delighted to share it now. This one is not mine, and we have the lovely Ginger Jacks to thank for it instead.

Inspired by Edgar Allan Poe, Ginger whipped up this copycat version of the same dish served at Poe's Tavern on Sullivan's Island and we are so grateful that she did. She kindly made these black bean burgers amontillado for The Sullivan's Island Supper Club's launch party, and they were an absolute hit. If you decide to try this recipe out for yourself, please let us know if you enjoy it as much as we did!

Warmly,

Whether you'd like to add to your own collection of print books, or you need a gift for a mystery lover, please don't forget that you can by personalized signed copies from me! My store also has digital formats available if you prefer eBook or audio.
