Rise and shine, members! Welcome to another fabulous Saturday! Are you ready for another beautiful weekend? We certainly hope so! Any exciting plans on your agenda? I (Vella) am looking forward to a lovely Sunday brunch with my family. And today, I’ll be enjoying some well-deserved me-time, which includes indulging in a little online shopping.
Speaking of which, if you plan to join me on my virtual shopping spree, always be extra careful. Don’t forget to double-check the authenticity of the websites you visit. As an aside, we’ve recently received several emails from concerned members about requests for credit card details when logging into our forum to play Bingo. Please remember, we would never ask for your banking information or personal details like that. Your security is of utmost importance to us. So if you notice anything strange, please let us know immediately.
Now, let’s move on to the answer to yesterday’s riddle. Need a little reminder? Here it is:
What common English word describes a person or thing as not being found in any place, and yet, with no changes other than a space between syllables, will correctly describe that person or thing as being present at this very moment?
Did you get it? The word is 'NOWHERE'. So when a space is placed between the 'w' and 'h', you get the words 'NOW HERE'. Isn't that clever? We love a good play on words! If you got it correct, be sure to check further down this email for a special shoutout waiting for you!
Now, onto our next segment, ‘What Would the Grandkids Say’. Today, we’re taking a look at the term 'Fr'. Fr is a shorter form of the phrase 'for real', usually used in texting or online chats. It is commonly used to agree with something or to show disbelief. If you use it to express the latter, you may put a question mark to emphasise that you're asking if they're being serious. For example, if one of the grandkids tells you they got an 'A' on their test, you might say 'Fr?' to show that you're surprised and want to make sure they're not teasing you.
