No images? Click here June newsBurn Baby Burn! May's Dark beer night went off and we are so thrilled we've decided to do it once a month while it's cold out. Not only that but Carl has arranged for some more permanent heating options outside. Put our two new stand up heaters to the test ( recommended with a flagon of mulled wine) and take the edge off of those June winter nights when you're next. We'd also like to say congratulations to George Catsi, our club president, who has been selected to speak in June at the Amps Livable Cities conference in New York. George will be representing our little club and it's an incredible opportunity to listen and talk with the broader international community about sustainability for our future.
PBC Dark Beer Night is back! ![]() We had such a great time, we're going again. What's the best thing about winter? The beer of course. And winter is here! Come celebrate with us at The Petersham Bowling Club at 4pm on Friday the 23rd of June as darkness falls upon our beer taps... From Browns to Barley Wines, Smoked Porters to Pastry Stouts, Old Ales to even Older Ales, 11 of our taps will be pouring the delicious dark goods, showcasing an array of local and national breweries. And if this smorgasbord of tastiness isn't enough for you don't fret as there will be many other tasty drops to imbibe. Talking scotch, creamy winter cocktails, and mulled wine and cider.... The kitchen will be in full swing with some special treats for the night. Beef and stout pies anyone? Still not sold? The fire will be a-cracklin' outside to ease those nervous summer bones into the most sumptuous of all the seasons... Enjoy winter properly this year at The PBC with dark beers, mulled things and a fire! Blackly funny and frequently devastating, It traverses family, death, hope, love, survival, compassion and the deep relationship we can develop with music throughout our lives when nothing else is enough. It's a Shame About Ray asks how we shape new identities from old tragedies - and whether the answers might be hiding in the bestselling record of 2001. 'A brilliant and brutally raw tribute to family, survival and the indisputable profundity of noughties nu-metal.' TIM MINCHIN 'Unbelievably poignant and ingenious. And punk as f*ck.'
