Outdoor Science Camp

Camp Monte Toyon, which is nestled amongst the secluded and stunning redwoods on California’s coast and situated adjacent to Nisene Marks State Park, was the site of this year's Outdoor Science Camp for our Elementary children.

From March 26-28, the children were able to enjoy beautiful hiking trails, learn about nature and explore in an abundance of wildlife. Not only did they have a wonderful time, but they also developed closer relationships with their peers.

Outdoor play has benefits beyond the physical activity it provides. It helps children socialize and develop their imagination.

This matching activity helps children develop visual discrimination skills and the ability to connect concrete objects to their symbolic representation.

Cleaning

A Practical Life activity, cleaning helps children learn the value of maintaining an orderly environment as a part of their daily routine.

Collage

Collage work develops creativity. The child refines the use of scissors by cutting paper in clean lines and in different shapes and learns to glue.

Primary 2

Binomial Cube

The Binomial Cube helps children discover patterns and spatial relationships, builds concentration, problem-solving skills, and a hands-on understanding of math.

Cylinder Blocks

A child is exploring size, shape, and spatial awareness with the Cylinder Blocks: Multiple Blocks and strengthening his problem-solving and fine motor skills.
