On behalf of Te Mahi Ako, thank you for all your mahi supporting and assessing our ākonga | learners. We hope you take time to relax and enjoy a well-deserved break! Te Mahi Ako will be closed over the Christmas period from Friday, 20 December 2024 until Monday, 6 January 2025. Changes to assessor portal The credit reporting portal for assessors is being updated to add a search function. This will make it easier to find learners when reporting credits. As part of this update, the layout will change slightly, but the credit reporting process itself will not. ![]() ![]() 2024 credit reporting due by 28 February 2025 From 1 January 2025 until 28 February 2025, your portal will only allow you to report credit for assessments completed in 2024. This ensures that all assessments submitted in 2024 are being reported in the correct year. Please note: From 1 March 2025, credit for assessments completed in 2024 cannot be reported in your portal. For assessments completed in January and February 2025, please report the credits by emailing learneragreements@temahiako.org.nz From 1 March 2025 you will be able to report all credits achieved in 2025, in your portal. Assessment timeframe Te Mahi Ako’s expectation is that assessment is conducted within 10 working days of it being submitted by an ākonga to their assessor. Once you have completed an assessment, please report the unit standard credits via your assessor portal as soon as possible and, within 10 working days. If you are taking leave and will not be able to meet the 10-day timeframe, please inform the assessor and facilitator team or your regional advisor, so we can ensure the ākonga is informed and, if necessary, appoint another assessor. Evidence verifier course Toi Mai Workforce Development Council, expects all people who verify assessment evidence to be registered with Te Mahi Ako. Evidence verifier registration is automatic when someone completes our free online evidence verifier course offered. You can find a link to more information at the end of this section. This course enables evidence verifiers to better understand their role and responsibilities when verifying evidence. To ensure we are complying with Toi Mai requirements, please ask all evidence verifiers you work with to register with us by enrolling in this short course. Changes to assessor and facilitator team There have been a few changes recently at Te Mahi Ako including to the assessor and facilitator team. Lizzie has made the exciting decision to head off to the land of retirement and cruise the motu in her new caravan. Faye Barrand will be leading the team in our new assessor and facilitator manager role. Emma is moving back to a full-time quality advisor position, with Monique Freshwater joining the team as an assessor and facilitator trainer. Lee Hodson is remaining in the team and will continue her outstanding work as assessor and facilitator administrator. The team will continue to focus on supporting you, our assessors and the important work you do on behalf of Te Mahi Ako. Once again, ngā mihi nui for your mahi.
