NEWS UPDATE05 June 2026 Publishers noteEvents such as ASMEX and Marinas26 continue to produce news, and that is exactly the outcome any industry-supporting Association would want from its events. A conference, awards evening, boat show, or other Association-created event is, or should be, designed to support industry prosperity. Importantly, that prosperity should not end with the education, knowledge and networking gained during the event days. Rather, it should become the catalyst for ongoing opportunity. Marine Business News walked away from the trilogy of marine events in Southeast Queensland last month with a notebook full of information, a large collection of business cards, and a small mountain of requests and opportunities that we will continue to work through over the coming weeks, if not months. Every dollar invested in being there has already been returned tenfold. This week, we continue to share the news and reports from those events, and we will keep doing so into the future. A special mention this week goes to “Charter for a Cause” in support of Lucy. Sadly, it is a story that is all too common, and one that many within our industry will recognise in some way. As a close and generous community, I am sure our industry will want to do what it can to support Lucy and her family. Please take a moment to read the story and click on the link to contribute. Even a small amount will go a long way in helping Lucy and her family during a very difficult time. We do hope you enjoy this week’s news. #ETRWYW Marine Business News is an Australian-owned marine industry news service publishing local and international news.
