CITIZENS POLICE ACADEMY - NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS

The Northbrook Police Department is accepting applications for the Citizens Police Academy (CPA). The goal of the CPA is to strengthen the partnership between Police and the Community. You will have the opportunity to learn about patrol operations, criminal investigations, use of force, crime scene processing, police canine work, and more! Applicants must be residents or business owners within the Village of Northbrook and must be 21 years of age or older. Applications are to be submitted by August 25th at 3pm.

Northbrook’s beloved beer-tasting celebration is back! Presented by the Northbrook Park District & the Village of Northbrook, Brewfest features craft beer from a wide range of breweries, live music, and great community vibes.

Tickets:
• $49 Advance Tasting Ticket - Includes 15 (5oz) tastings, entertainment, and activities.
• $30 Non-Tasting Ticket - Includes event access only (no beer tastings or event swag). 

Ticket prices increase on event day, so don't wait!

Try Skating for Free! | Northbrook Park District

Northbrook Sports Center, 1730 Pfingsten Road
Is your child ready for ice skating lessons? The Northbrook Sports Center is hosting a free skating class for children (ages 3 and older) who are interested in learning to skate. Professional staff will teach basic skating skills and help determine readiness for class. Three-year-olds must be potty-trained. Registration is required. 

Northbrook Brewfest | Northbrook Park District

Brewfest is back this September! Join the Northbrook Park District and the Village of Northbrook for an afternoon of craft beer tastings, live music by The Grady Experience, and delicious bites from a food truck. Seniorpalooza Health & Fun Fair | North Suburban YMCA

North Suburban YMCA, 2705 Techny Road
Come to the free Seniorpalooza at the North Suburban YMCA. Interactive health screenings will be offered along with other demonstrations. The Illinois Bone & Joint Institute will also offer a presentation on treatment options for common issues that cause pain and problems with the adult shoulder, elbow, and hand.

Rotary Club of Northbrook Duck Race

Cheer on rubber ducks as they race down the river through Northbrook during Shermerfest! Ducks are $10 each, three for $25, or 15 for $100. Proceeds support local and global Rotary programs.
