Thursday Edition
Good morning members, and happy Thursday! Or should I say Happy St Patrick’s Day to all of you who celebrate it! Any big plans for today? As we do every morning, we have something big up our sleeve. We're pretty excited about today's lineup, so let's get right to it, shall we?
First things first, it’s time to give you all the answer to yesterday’s tricky riddle. For those of you who don't remember, the riddle goes:
Drop me, and I’m sure to crack but smile at me, and I will smile back. What am I?
Well? The answer is a mirror! I think the first sentence gave it away. As expected, a ton of you got the answer correct! And you know what that means, right folks? You get a shoutout! So stick around, and you’ll find a shoutout waiting for you at the end of the newsletter.
Next on the agenda for today, it’s time to share with you a Fascinating Fact!
Who here always says 'bless you' when someone sneezes? Good manners dictate that every sneeze be followed by some variation of 'bless you.' But have you ever wondered why we do it? (Aside from the fact that our parents raised us correctly, of course.) There are a plethora of intriguing theories as to the true origins of this social convention. The most popular theory dates back to the time of the Great Plague. Pope Gregory I proposed saying "God bless you" after a person sneezed, hoping that this prayer would save them from otherwise certain death. Another more superstitious theory is that it stems from the ancient belief that a
sneeze may accidentally expel the spirit from the body unless God blesses you and prevents it. Either way, it's considered a polite gesture nowadays. How's that for a Thursday fact, eh?
Now then, members, what’s happening in Australia and around the world in the news today?
-
Aldi is slinging some cheap gardening tools in their Special Buys this week, including this pressure washer which is exactly like Karcher’s but for
less than half the price!
-
Aussie mums are now cleaning toilet floors with Woolworths shaving cream! Here’s why.
-
One Woolworths shopper has been left scratching his head after receiving a recent home delivery. Can you spot what’s wrong in this picture?

wife's best friend!
-
Not so good news, members! Aussies may be forced to pay up to $7 for a regular cup of coffee by the end of the year as cafe overhead costs rise.
-
However, in today's good news, Aussies can expect to pay up to a few dollars less per round of beer, as the government plans to slash beer taxes in the upcoming budget.
-
And finally, two heroic Victorian surfers have revealed how they took down a plane hijacker who threatened to blow up a plane carrying 222 passengers as it flew over Melbourne.
And that’s that for the wrap of the day, ladies and gents! Whilst the wrap is complete, be sure to stick around for some more fantastic stuff, including a joke, thanks to member @Cheb. We were absolutely wheezing at this one!
And as always members, stay safe and happy reading!

Remember marching into class every day? The constant chant of 'left, right, left, right while keeping an arm's length distance from the person in front after we saluted the flag and recited the oath, 'I love my country,' and sang 'God Save the Queen.' It was a tradition that instilled pride in ourselves and our school and some discipline in our lives.

CleverPolly Satin Pillowcase Twin Pack $9.99 @ Catch*
As someone who sleeps on a Satin pillow every night, I can definitely vouch for these! I (Maddie) bought my satin pillowcase a few months ago when I did some research into pillowcases and all the bacteria that can build up in them over time, and also, the benefits of sleeping on satin for your skin. These pillowcases leave your skin crease-free and your hair frizz-free after a good night's sleep! Not to mention, the cases themselves look gorgeous. For only $9.99 for a pack of two, this is almost too good to be true!

After being married for 50 years, I took a careful look at my wife one day and said to her:
“Fifty years ago, we had a cheap house, a junk car, slept on a sofa bed and watched a 10-inch black and white TV, but I got to sleep every night with a hot 23-year old girl.”
This one made us laugh out loud, so make sure you check out the rest of this hilarious joke here. Special thanks to member @Cheb for sharing this with us!

There are about 200 different types of cells in the body. The cells inside our bodies are “specialized.” This means that each type of cell performs a unique and special function. For this reason, each of the 200 different types of cells in the body has a different structure, size, shape, and function and contains different organelles.
