Platkin and the Division on Civil Rights (DCR) announced today that DCR has issued a Finding of Probable Cause in a case alleging that Prince Telecom LLC discriminated against an applicant for employment based on disability in violation of the New Jersey Law Against Discrimination. During a recent House Committee on Transportation & Infrastructure hearing, U.S. Department of Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg confirmed his agency believes the U.S. Department of Justice’s proposal to reschedule marijuana from a Schedule I to a Schedule III drug will not impact the transportation industry’s ability to screen for marijuana. A bill awaiting Governor Phil Murphy’s signature would close a loophole that allows intoxicating hemp products to be sold at convenience stores and other places.
