Celebrate Christmas with the Mount Alexander Shire community

Our community always puts on a great show to celebrate Christmas, and this year is no different. We'll have colourful decorations, music performances and free, community events that everyone can get involved in.

The festivities start in Castlemaine on Friday 2 December with a family-friendly street party that includes activities for kids and an appearance from Santa!

The following day on Saturday 3 December, Maldon will be celebrating Christmas at Old Bank Corner with a stunning community Christmas tree and a musical performance from local rock band, the New King Cols.

Our small towns will also be celebrating with BBQs, live music, street decorations and visits from Santa.

If you'd like to spend Christmas day with your community, register to attend the Community Christmas Lunch in Castlemaine.
