Dear faculty and staff colleagues, I am writing to provide another update on the Provost Search Committee’s progress in identifying Duquesne’s next academic leader. The search continues to progress well and remains on schedule. The committee met recently to review our progress and begin a systematic evaluation of applications. This initial screening—the first of several stages in our vetting process—will continue through the early spring. We are actively building a strong and diverse pool of talented candidates. We ask once more for your assistance in identifying promising prospects or people who might be able to suggest such prospects. Please reach out to our consulting team, Julie Tea and Kate Phillips of DSG Storbeck, at DuquesneProvost@dsgco.com, with names and contact information related to any potential candidates. The nominations and suggestions we receive from those closest to the Duquesne community may be among the most meaningful in the process of identifying candidates. The search committee will meet again in late February to begin reducing the pool of applicants to a smaller group for further review and evaluation. The search prospectus continues to be available for your review on the DSG Storbeck website. On behalf of the search committee, I will share additional periodic updates with you throughout the process. Please feel free to contact me with any questions. Thank you for your interest and support.
