Dear participants, families and carers,
The Australian Government has announced a landmark $5.5 billion reform to disability employment services, launching Inclusive Employment Australia (IEA) from 1 November 2025. The new model promises more flexible, tailored support for people with disability, removing time limits and expanding eligibility.
Key changes include simplified wage subsidies, specialist providers, and a new Centre for Inclusive Employment to embed lived experience into service design.
As these reforms unfold, Onemda remains committed to monitoring developments closely. We recognise the opportunity we can play an important role in shaping inclusive employment practices through evidence gained via our various research and innovation projects, advocating for meaningful participation, and ensuring our services align with the evolving national framework.

Life in Action - CPR with Surf Rescue Victoria
Participants rolled up their sleeves to learn CPR with Surf Rescue Victoria. A day of education mixed with a bit of fun, it was a day that left everyone feeling more capable and prepared.
Seedlings, smiles and a great cause
Participants put their customer service and retail skills to the test, raising money selling seedlings at the local library. Funds were put towards a heart whelming cause too!
Exploring something new at Oxygen
What is Oxygen you ask? Well, Mondays got a little brighter for participants who now visit Oxygen Youth Space. Music, games or just hanging out, it's the latest hot spot!
EOFY Fundraiser raised $9,527.71

Important NDIS Plan Reminders - Action Required
Ensure Sufficient Plan Funding
To avoid any disruption to Onemda services, plan nominees and support coordinators must ensure there are adequate funds available in the participant’s NDIS plan, as outlined in the latest signed agreement.
If the plan is managed by a Plan Manager, please confirm with the plan manager that sufficient funds remain for the duration of the plan and notify Onemda at contracts@onemda.com.au.
Based on current attendace Onemda’s most recent fortnightly invoice can be used to calculate the total required funding for the remainder of the plan.
Register Onemda as MyProvider on PACE for New Plans
When a participant receives a new NDIS plan, please call the NDIA on 1800 800 110 and request to register Onemda MyProvider.
This ensures a current and active plan is in place, allowing services to continue smoothly.
