UAE Remains Top MENA Destination for US Exports

In 2024, trade between the US and the UAE totaled $34.4 billion, with US exports to the Emirates making up nearly $27 billion. The UAE is the US's third-largest trade surplus, globally. Key sectors driving this vital trade relationship include technology and AI, life sciences, healthcare, energy, manufacturing, financial services, and space.

Michigan Governor Seeks Greater Trade and Investment with UAE

Governor Gretchen Whitmer visited the UAE to explore investment opportunities with UAE organizations and promote Michigan's aerospace and defense industries. During the visit, she participated in the World Governments Summit, joining over 30 heads of state and government, more than 80 international and regional organizations and 140 government delegations. Governor Whitmer met with the Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, HH Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, and discussed opportunities to strengthen economic and commercial ties.

Abu Dhabi’s G42 and Microsoft Launch Responsible AI Foundation

US Companies Helping Electric Air Taxis Take Off In the UAE

The Emirates are the perfect testing ground for electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft. California-based Archer Aviation and Joby Aviation are working to integrate air taxis into Dubai and Abu Dhabi’s local transport networks. Expected to launch in 2025 and 2026 respectively, this collaboration between American companies and the UAE could redefine urban transportation.
