NEWS UPDATE05 December 2025 Publishers noteAs I write, I am attending the Australian Business Events Conference in Melbourne, where the industry is deeply engaged in learning and sharing critical information about the running of events and exhibitions. Internationally, the sector is buoyed with success, inspiring the launch of further shows as a way of supporting a wide range of industries. Boat shows are part of this same cycle and, when well run, provide an important business boost, both immediately and in helping secure long-term prosperity. Across the country, the weather has been very good in many regions, yet equally volatile. As boaties, keeping a close watch on the weather is part of our routine, and it remains something we cannot afford to approach with complacency. This week we bring good news of further facility development across a number of sites in SEQ. It is encouraging progress for our growing industry, as the region continues to embed itself as the heart of Australia’s boating sector. I understand further announcements are in the wind. On the show front, BIAV have locked in their dates for the Gippsland Lakes, Sanctuary Cove have officially opened space sales, and BLA have advised their trade show dates, a must-attend for many in our industry.
