Saturday Edition
Good morning, members, and welcome to another splendid Saturday! How are you all feeling this beautiful morning? As for me (Vella), I’m feeling particularly inspired today. I spent the morning reading all of your heartwarming responses to our ‘When did you know it was the right time to propose?’ forum thread, and I have to say, I’m feeling pretty emotional. Your love stories have touched my heart, and I’m inspired to take the next step with my partner. So, I want to say thank you for sharing your stories. You have no idea how
much your stories have inspired me in my own life. I’m sure many others feel the same way! I encourage you to read through the responses if you haven't already. And if you haven't shared your own love story or thoughts, it's not too late! We would love to hear from you, so feel free to jump into the conversation and share your own experience.
Now, any big plans today? I’m headed out to meet some friends who I went camping with last week! Well, let’s just say that things got a little wild during that trip, and (believe it or not) a chamber pot was one of the highlights. Well, the walk to the toilet was just too far (and let’s face it, we were feeling lazy) so one of my friends decided to bring her chamber pot out of nowhere! 😂 We may have been a little too enthusiastic with the grog, and our late-night shenanigans are something I won’t soon forget. I can’t stop chuckling to myself as I write this newsletter. Do you have any hilarious and unforgettable memories with your friends? Share them with us in our forum thread here. I can’t wait to read them!
Alright, enough chit-chat; let's kick off today's activities by revealing the answer to yesterday's riddle. Need a reminder? Here we go:
I have lakes but no water, no cars, but I have streets; many places and borders, but I'm in one piece. What am I?
Drumroll, please... The answer is a map! That was a good one, wasn't it? Well, you all are quite the brainy bunch, as a lot of you guessed correctly! If you did, then be sure to check further down this newsletter for your well-deserved shout-out! We always love seeing your brilliant minds at work.
Now, onto our next segment for the day, 'What Would the Grandkids Say.' Today, we are taking a look at the phrase 'girlboss'. A 'girlboss' is a woman who is in charge of her own life; she's confident, ambitious, and knows what she wants. This term is often used to describe young, ambitious women in business or entrepreneurship. But it can also be used to describe any woman who is not afraid to go after what she wants and isn't afraid to take risks. Sound like anyone you know? Maybe even yourself? If so, then you're definitely a girlboss! We're positive many of our female members are girlbosses, so we hope this term inspires
you to keep being the empowering icons that you are. 😉

Ah, Fish and Chips - our favourite Friday night treat. That greasy smell wafting through the air, the crispy batter and fluffy chips, all wrapped up in newspaper - it’s enough to make anyone’s mouth water! Who could forget that distinctive newspaper wrapping? Sure, it wasn’t the most hygienic, but it added to the charm of the whole experience. We might have fancy boxes and trendy packaging today, but there’s something special about the old-school Fish and Chips we grew up with. It’s a taste of the past that will always have a place in our hearts (and stomachs!). Do you have any fond memories of this classic snack? Share them with us in our forum thread here! And if you have any photos of objects from your childhood, don’t be afraid to share them with us here on our forum.
