¡Feliz Cinco de Mayo! How This Edition of Career Choices Helps Students Who Speak Spanish
The Spanish translation of Career Choices provides support and guidance to students in their native language as they build a foundation for a successful future. Brenda Carr, a teacher at Hatch Valley High School in New Mexico, said the Spanish edition was instrumental in helping students who speak Spanish as their first language make goals for college and their career.
"Some kids grabbed it and held it to their chest because we have the terminology and the ideas in their own language," Carr said. "The Spanish edition has been so helpful. At least 25 percent of my students were English-Language Learners."
